Because it works on any colour, HTV gives you more options for garments than sublimation, which can only be done on white or light coloured fabrics.
What I love about HTV is that you can print on a variety of materials, use a variety of colours, patterns, and textures, and print on various parts of clothing. And with my trusted vinyl weeding tool, the patterns created come to life when this tool is at hand.
The processes of applying, pruning, and weeding are all quick and easy. This heat transfer vinyl (HTV) paper is constructed from a resilient, durable substance. If applied properly, even after numerous washings or rigorous play, fading, flaking, or cracking won’t occur.
WHAT IS HTV VINYL?
Heat transfer vinyl sometimes referred to as HTV for short, is a specialised vinyl polymer that may be used to create patterns and promotional products on particular textiles and materials. It is provided in a roll or sheet with an adhesive backing, making it simple to cut, weed, and position on a surface for heating.
WHAT ARE THE USES OF VINYL HTV?
Heat transfer vinyl is a type of vinyl used to decorate or personalise T-shirts, garments, tote bags and other fabric items. HTV (Heat transfer vinyl) has a heat-activated adhesive backing that allows the vinyl to be permanently transferred to your garment when heat pressed for the appropriate amount of time, temperature, and pressure. Different types of HTV have different cut settings and press times, so it’s always best to check first prior to using your vinyl cutter to start your project.
IS VINYL HTV MACHINE WASHABLE?
To keep your personalised items looking great: Cold or warm water machine wash We don’t want to re-melt the vinyl by immersing it in boiling water because HTV basically melts the adhesive into the cloth. It’s best to use cold or warm water.
CAN I TUMBLE DRY MY VINYL HTV TEES?
To ensure that the vinyl lasts as long as possible, avoid using bleach and fabric softeners. Tumble dry on low or hang to dry. You don’t want to dry your Vinyl htv shirts on high heat, just like you don’t want to wash them that way either. If you stick to tumble drying or low heat, you should be fine.
