NUMBER PLATE BLANKS

The Vinyl Corporation has been providing Signs and Sign making SUPPLIES to the Automotive and Sign Making Industry for over thirty years, during that time the law and regulations have changed considerably regarding the manufacture, supply and construction of CAR NUMBER PLATES , for clarity one can refer to the relavent DVLA website, but the standard 201/2″ x 43/8″ or 520mm x 111mm Acrylic clear plastic plate backed by a yellow REFLECTIVE VINYL for the rear of a vehicle and a White reflective sheet for the front of a car, are still a standard requirement.However, SIGN BLANKS ,MENU BOARDS or SHOW PLATES that are NOT for road use are still acceptable. So to laminate a plate for a car dealership to put a make or model SIGN on a car, or at a car show it is still acceptable to place a sign 520mm x 111mm on a motor vehicle giving details of the vehicles specification as long as this is not then used on the road.

SIGN MAKERS and NUMBER PLATES

The Acrylic and reflective vinyls that The Vinyl Corporation Supply are for Registered DVLA number plate manufacturers to purchase and use, other Signmakers can purchase these acrylic and Vinyl Sign blanks to be used for “Other purposes” including Menu option boards, Directional signage and other signage in or associated with the Motor Trade, but NOT to be used as CAR REGISTRATION NUMBER PLATES without DVLA approval or fulfilling their requirements for the manufacture and supply of standard car number plates.
