How to Apply Vinyl to furniture.

1. Prepare the surface
The surface to which you plan to apply the vinyl wrap must be cleaned. The best way to accomplish this is with a cleaning product spray. After that, wipe with a wet cloth. Before putting your vinyl furniture cover, wipe the surface with a dry cloth or towel and make sure it is completely dry.
2. The area is measured.
Next, take a measurement of the surface you intend to vinyl wrap. To account for overcutting and in case you put the vinyl at an angle, you need to leave at least 3 cm on each side.

3. Cut the vinyl wrap to size.
Use a pair of scissors with a sharp blade to cut the vinyl in a straight line. Mark the vinyl with a ruler before cutting to make sure it is cut with a straight edge on either side.

4. Peel back the vinyl edge.
On one side, remove the vinyl. The backing paper should be tucked underneath after being folded back on itself. The adhesive side of one piece should now be exposed and prepared to be applied to the furniture.

5. Attach the vinyl wrap to the edge of the surface.
The peeling edge of the vinyl should be secured to the surface. Make sure it is aligned and straight. This enables the vinyl to be applied to the furniture in a straight line. Join the edges to the edge of the surface. If you’d like, you can leave it to dangle a few centimetres longer and then clip the excess away. If you have a straight line, it is preferable to align this part straight.

6. Apply the vinyl wrap using the squeegee.
Squeegee the vinyl onto the surface with one hand. Use a card, folded cardboard, or anything else that is firm and flat. The underneath backing paper can then be removed using the opposite hand. Continue to squeegee the vinyl wrap onto the furniture as you go, gradually pulling back the backing paper. The vinyl furniture wrap will adhere to the surface as you go.
